Lucy McGraw

I joined Renaissance back in 2022 as an editorial assistant. Having used AR and Star as a student growing up in the US, I knew firsthand the impact that these tools can have on students’ education. My background is in early years and primary education, as well as literacy and phonics interventions, so after finishing a master’s course in the UK, applying to work at Renaissance seemed like a no brainer. I have particularly enjoyed being able to merge my skills with this job, while serving a wider range of students around the world.

I am passionate about making sure all children get to see themselves represented in stories and books. My favourite types of books to quiz for AR are Young Adult and Lower Years titles that highlight cultures, identities and experiences that are not often featured in mainstream media. I also love reading and quizzing novels in verse!
