Quiz Writers' Choice Awards 2026

Each year, the Renaissance quiz writing team, also known as Content Designers, consume hundreds of books for Accelerated Reader – providing a unique perspective on the books and texts available for children and young people.

This busy team read and quizzed 1,150 books throughout the last school year, writing over 9,000 questions. If one person were to do this on their own, they would need to read over 3 books every day of the year!

Throughout the year, they make notes on the titles that stand out to them – perhaps making them laugh, cry or think differently – building a list of nominees unlike any other book awards.
