Meet the team

Sitting behind Accelerated Reader is our fantastic team of quiz writers who are responsible for creating all the quizzes – and reading over 100 new books every month!

They start by choosing a title from a list of books that have been selected for quizzing. Books are prioritised according to several things, including customer suggestions, awards lists and reading schemes. Quizzing is a serious business, and the quiz writer notes major plot points as they read the book, before writing 3, 5, 10 or 20 multiple-choice questions. A completed quiz is then edited once, twice or even three times, ensuring that it is a true test of comprehension.

When a quiz is ready to go, it is put on the system and AR readers around the world can take it as soon as they have read the book. Find out more about each member of the team and their favourite books to quiz.
